Verse-by-Verse Jude Study

5.0 (1 review)

Jude is one of the most neglected books in the New Testament. Clocking in at only one chapter, with twenty-five verses, this amazing book tends to get buried under a century's worth of speculation about lost apocalypses and secondhand legends.

My verse-by-verse study clears all that away and does the hard work, the better work. Join me in reading Jude the way the early church did: In the company of 1 and 2 Peter. Learn to read Jude in light of the real historical moment where Paul, Peter, and James had all been martyred and the wolves they had warned about were now in the church!

Built on R.C.H. Lenski's commentary, these three sessions of close textual work, will walk you through Jude's argument line by line. You'll understand all of his debated allusions, his warnings, and gain a deeper understanding of his oft-skipped doxology.

At the same time you'll dismantle popular myths about the book that get repeated from pulpit to podcast without anyone every bothering to check the sources.

What's included:

  • 3 complete lessons, each with a Student Worksheet and a full Teacher's Guide

  • Available in both PDF and Word (.docx) formats

  • Opening collect, guided text work, and discussion questions for group or individual study

  • Answer keys and background notes for teachers, so no prior Greek or seminary training required to lead it

Good for: adult Sunday school, small group study, or personal reading for anyone who wants to know what Jude actually says — not just what everyone assumes it says.

Every Jude Bible study I’ve been part of has somehow turned into a study of Enoch, and then a debate about the Nephilim. Kudos to you for actually staying on topic.
